Shares of Forafric Global PLC Rise on Second Day of Nasdaq Trading

Shares of agribusiness company Forafric Global PLC are higher on the Nasdaq Monday, the stock’s second day of trading on the exchange.

At 11:50 a.m. ET, the company’s shares had risen 11.08% to trade at $9.32 each. The stock had traded as high as $11 per share and as low as $8.30 per share earlier in the session. Trade in the company’s stock had been halted multiple times due to volatility.

On Friday, special purpose acquisition company Globis Acquisition Corp. said it completed a business combination with Forafric Agro Holdings Ltd. Shares of the combined company, Forafric Global, began trading on the Nasdaq later that day.

Forafric, which operates in Morocco and sub-Saharan Africa, makes flour and semolina, as well as other products.
