ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Students at the Rochester Institute of Technology got a first-hand look at how new technology is transforming the fight against financial crimes.
Representatives from both the FBI, the New York State Police and a tech firm called ‘Chainalysis’ lead the discussion about various threats.
The new course educates students on block-chain analytics, and how criminals are using crypto currency to commit crimes.
‘Chainalysis’ says they have even provided access to industry software for students to use, helping prepare them with the training they need to enter the field after graduation.
Wednesday’s discussion featured two panels located in the ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute.
