Dow Falls Over 200 Points, Marks Longest Losing Streak Since 1978

The blue-chip index fell 267 points, 0.6%. The S&P 500 fell 0.4%, and a majority of the stocks in the index fell. It’s the 12th day in a row the S&P featured negative breadth, which is its longest such streak based on available data back to Dec. 31, 1999, according to Dow Jones Market Data. The Nasdaq Composite dipped 0.3% after closing at a record on Monday.
