The board of Infosys Ltd., the second-largest domestic IT company, will meet on October 17 to consider its September quarter (Q2FY25) numbers.
Infosys has rewarded its shareholders handsomely in its history of over two decades as a public company. Since it first began paying dividends in 2000, the IT giant has paid ₹641.25 in dividends to shareholders, carried out a share buyback and also issued bonus shares thrice.
While declaring its results for the first half of financial year 2025 on October 17, Infosys will also propose an interim dividend.
During its Q1 results, Infosys had paid a total dividend of ₹28 earlier this year, which included a final dividend of ₹20 and a special dividend of ₹8 for financial year 2024.
In 2023, the company had paid an interim dividend of ₹18 per share in October and ₹17.5 per share in June, which was the final dividend for the previous financial year.
Infosys has also issued bonus shares in the 1:1 ratio to shareholders thrice in 2014, 2015 and 2018 in the recent past.
Infosys had also carried out a share buyback in 2017 at ₹1,150 per share in what was a ₹13,000 crore repurchase plan.
Infosys shares have risen 22% so far in 2024.
